Hate to say it but I'm already feeling the autumn vibe. Crisp air, light jackets and yes Gordon Lightfoot frankly he is Fall. This Fall we will probably go to the polls again and again and..you get the idea. If these ballot ballets were being provoked by an honest quest for vision and direction for the next century then all could be forgiven. But it's not, simply becuase our politics has been reduced to a simple plea for power. Understand that I am not a fan of grand and sweeping visions that often leave destruction in thier wake , just think of the fall-out of Meech ,Free Trade etc. . The country has been balkanized with power bases in Alberta and Quebec, the main adversaries in the culture wars of the early 90's. We have agreed to disagree and old line Party's have retreated to their core supporters frustrated and nibbling at the crumbs that fate and southern Ontario throw their way. But that does not preclude an evoloution in a vison of who we have become and where we should be heading in the next Canada.
Well foilks how about we get up off the ice and change the flow of this particular game. Let's act like Hab fans and demand excellence, performance and yes vision. We could be the gold standard for Green inovation, technologies and prectices. Reclaim our reputation as honest brokers and peace KEEPERS and unplug from the big box business model turning instead to each other for food security clean air for our children to breath and sustainable resource harvesting just to name a few policy directions.
Let's move on, it's time to vote Green
